Do SSA subs need to be "broken in" ?

Sorry for the newbie questions.. i am in fact a newbie.

I purchased 2 12" ICONS to go in a 4.5 cuft ported box (which is currently being custom built for me)

do i have to break them in? or can i just pound em out?

also, if there is a method to "breaking in" a sub.. what is it?

No "break in" needed. After a while of playing the suspension will loosen up and you will get more low end output. Nothing fancy there

Agreed, play them and they will break in over time.

Just don't forget to set the subsonic and the gain correctly.

Well I kind of have been around since day one and check in everyday, not to mention it makes me happy when a customer asks a question about our speakers and someone answers it correctly before I am able to get to it.

"Supporter" is from donation.

"Valued Customer" is from ordering.

"VIP" is from ordering a lot.
