A little help choosing an amp(s)

Recommended Posts

Maybe I can get some help here. I'm looking for amplifier choices, I'll be getting 4 RL-P 15's, probably being put into a smallish ported box.

I kinda want to keep amplifier cost below 800$ if possible. I'm at a bit of a loss, on what to get. There are too many choices!

I've considered getting a Hifonic Titan series TX1000 per sub. But maybe two stronger amps would be better.

My truck has two yellow tops, and a mean green alternator. So any recomendations would be nice.

So please answer me this. Is 400$ a piece for Orion 2500D's a reasonable price? I really have zero experience with Orion. But that sound like a steal to me.

is it from a reputable seller? and are they new or used? warrenty?

That is much lower than I paid for mine (new from dealer), you honestly do not need that much power but the RL-p loves 1200 watts from my experience, so this way you will be sending it plenty of power. if you go the Orion route, be careful with the gains. I have 3 Orion amps from the 2005 model line up, all are very nice and big power.

Thats about the price that I was seeing on ebay. That is about 1/3 of the price I was expecting. I was maybe thinking more like 600 or so. I'm not worried about having too much power. I usually see that as a good thing. In the cab of a truck, I can hear any distortion or other (bad) sounds, or smell the wonderful melting glue!

But if I do get two of them, I am going to be a little conserned with that power draw.

And I keep telling myself not to get hasty, I have lots of time to decide on what to get.
