2 DCON-10 D4's or 2 Fi SSD 10's

Got recommendations for both of these subs and gonna have 10"'s box ported designed by RAM designs. Going to have a JL audio 1000/1v2 running them, if anyone has any other recommendations my budget is roughly $400. thanks

Not a good comparison. But if you must, the SSD's are better in every aspect. Which they should be.

A Fi X and dcon would be a better "which one".

Depends on your goals. But I'm sure you're going to be happy with either. Personally would go with the SSDs though.

On the power you have, I'd go with the DCON's or X's, but that's just me. Can't go wrong with the SSD's either, and since it's a JL slash series amp, if you went with the SSD's you could add a second amp later and still cram all the power available out of each amp into each sub. You couldn't do that with any other amp that isn't that topology.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the info, given that I want these subs to last a long time I think I am going to go with the SSD's and then later on add another amp when I have the $.
