If you have access to a decent air compressor, I would really recommend a body saw. They're made for what you want to do with it. It's called a Circular saw, not a skill saw.

For cutting metal, I use a portable bandsaw but for limited space, that's impossible to use as it's much bigger than a jigsaw.

You can use a Dremel MultiMax.

It's extremely portable and used to get in tight places.

I've got practically every tool possible here and if i don't, the shop has the rest, lol.. including plasma cutters and so on.

The blade mount on the Makita is better. The blade tends to walk on thicker wood on the Dewalt. Do not buy the rigid, I hate it with a pasion, it never cuts correctly. If you have an air compressor get the small recipricating saw by the air tools. It accepts the blades used on hand saws made to cut pvc pipe. much cheaper than the blades that are specificaly made for it.

If you go the jig saw route, make sure your blades cut in the up motion. if the teeth point down then the saw will want to jump off your cutting surface.

for some one who has higer skill level >>> angle grinder with a cut off wheel or any small rotary cutter ( as it requires good skills to cut and not get injured and also create a fire, but can cut odd shaped and various contours with an ease)

Soo. Against my gut instinct I went with the Ryobi js480. Reasons being it had the capabilities of using 'T' or 'U' shank blades and the makita wasn't available and dewalt had too many negatives I felt would affect me.

Also bought a clamp variety pack by Irwin. And some extra blades for metal cutting made by Bosch.
