Looks like a great SQ headunit...

okay so how do you tell an SQ headunit from a normal unit?

"28-Bit Binary Floating-Point DSP and 3-Way Digital Network"

does that mean SQ to you or does this?

Auto Time Alignment and Auto EQ

or do they both?

just sounds like fancy words to an un-sq'ed geared kind a guy! lol

... Sorry?

I was mearly asking how you knew that is a great SQ headunit, can you tell me which specs scream SQ to you?

I am just asking a question like if I ever decide to use my zapco comps and zapco amps what kind a h/u I should look for although at the same time I am not trying to jack the thread just looking for fast tips.

It's definitely geared for an active setup, with the ability to fine tune with time alignment and a more detailed eq.

Better FR from speakers in their installed locations, TA to help improve imaging, and eq to adjust for obstructions, peaks, dips.

If your using a component set then the active processing isn't something you would care for since your component set comes with a passive crossover network. Not sure if TA would beneficial since it would be going to the entire channel.

Of course you could use your speakers without their passive crossovers and go active with this unit, would it be a big improvement, I don't know.

I think even if you're using a component set, these types of unit deliver WAAAAY better eq options and adjustments. I'd get it even if not going active because I like that control. I'm definitely ordering one when its available. Tax refund and all. Plus some batteries!

I'm really looking forward to this unit.

ATM its nigh impossible to play CDs in my car so those USB ports will be nice. And bt is a nice touch too.

Wonder when they can be ordered.

I doubt it will replace the 800. That's what the P99RS is for.

Like I said on Facebook, I don't think the build quality will be near the same as the older PRS's. For the last few years Pioneers haven't been built well, I feel this will be the same with this unit.

Another thing I don't like is the built in Bluetooth, to much of a chance for that induce noise to make this a great SQ unit.

Wouldn't everything transferred through bluetooth be digital, how would that induce noise?
