Recommended Posts

Wassup guys, I just got in my possession 2 18 inch Aq hdc3's bnib. I will be walling my truck and my deminsions I came up with are 51'' width 38'' height 24'' deep. With 1.5in thick walls, I get 20.4 cubes. I gave my self alittle wiggle room for the height and width. I will be tuning to 36 hz with a 9x38 port that is 20.5 in long. It will be braced and before bracing will come out to about 8.2-8.4 per sub, that is after port displacement. If anyone could run those specs I would greatly appreciate it. This will be going into a 2000 gmc Sierra ext cab. They will be powered by 2 crescendo bc2000ds at 4ohm strapped daily then 1 ohm strapped for comps :) I'm looking for mid 140s hopefully I can achieve that. The port will be on drivers side. The subs will be stacked on passenger side off center. Help a brotha out!!!!!!

Anyone? I just need spec confirmation!

well according to this calculator that i have and the specs you gave with 1.5 inch thick wood you have a gross volume of 20.42cf

with sub displacement around .42 <-- not sure on this number

it says your net volume just for subs is 13.06 ft^3 and a 40.09 hz tune.. with 35 inches high 9 width and 20.5 length port (you gave a port length of 38 but you have to take wood thickness away being its a 1.5 below and on top..

Ok im sorry i messed up my Specs. Here we go: 51in wide, 38in tall, 24in deep. 1.5in mdf all the way around. Interior space is 20.46ft3. I will be bracing with 2x4's and came up with 1.2ft3 for bracing, so im sitting at 19.26ft3. And after sub displacements (.35) im at 18.56ft3. My port will be 8in wide and 35in tall (wood thickness is accounted for) and 18.2in long. The port takes up 3.4ft3 so now im at 15.16ft3. Which is 7.58ft3 per sub which i believe is perfect. Please run that again if you can

I know it's silly but I was only doing a 143.7 sealed up with 1 hdc3 18 and a 30 hz tune haha so I'm expecting more I just don't wanna shoot to high
