2 SSA ZCON 18"s in a PT Cruiser. Epic flex and hairtrick.

Recommended Posts

Finally got both 18"s installed in the PT now. Running off a single Digital Designs M3a @.5ohm. Barely tickling them.

They get SOOO low, and sound amazing on everything. Plays every note so well. I am very happy, even with this low power.

14^3 box, 270^2 of port, 40Hz tune.

152.2db @39Hz

So even with a high tune, you say you still have good response with the lower notes?? Hmmmmm, maybe because such a small cabin? Or????

It's because the port is so large, it's very efficient.

Most people, when they do "big port" do them 100% wrong. So a lot of people think ALL big ports are peaky, only play high notes, and sound bad. When all this is far from the truth.

Ok thanks for the explanation, so Large Port = More efficient at a higher tune?
