The magnet is a lot bigger in person. Camera makes it look small. But that's what they all say...... haha

well guys, i couldnt take it anymore.... i couldnt sit by and watch my zcon laugh at my little kicker zr240... so i threw the AQ3500 on her;) yeah, i have a 5 gauge scosche wiring kit (yes i said 5 gauge :suicide-santa: ) but hey it works for the time being. i will run all my 0 gauge once i get my alt. anywayssss i am a VERY satisfied customer of ssa. i have fallen deeply in love with this woofer. once i gave her around 1500 watts, i could start to see its true colors. im very impressed with this sub.

stand by for further updates. once i get my new alt, i will start mass producing videos of it like china produces shoes :peepwall:

hahaha

Depending on where your gain is set, that is a terrible idea.

Yeah don't smoke that amplifier before you upgrade your electrical!

He said he is givin it about 1500 watts

For that amp to put out 1500wrms it needs wire larger than 5 gauge.

I'm curious as to how he knows he's giving it 1500watts.

I should have also stated that it will also depend on how long the wire runs are.

I'm not trying to bash your Lantz, just don't want to see you fry your amp, or start a fire, hopefully the wire is fused?!

Just be careful. You wouldn't want to smoke an $800 dollar amp just because you couldn't wait awhile longer.

i was just giving the 1500 a shot in the dark. by the looks of the subs excursion and output, i said 1500. and yeah the wire is fused. i guess ill take out the aq3500 after work today and throw the zr240 back on her. just to be safe

Do you already have your 1/0 gauge wire? Just wire it up now so it's one less thing to do when you get your alt in, and then you can still use your aq3500 (just be easy on it).

1500 in 5 ga is pushing it, i wouldnt really trust 4ga with more than 1500
