S10 single cab box help

Recommended Posts

Alright, so I'm planning a build for my S10 reg cab, and need help designing the box.

It's going to be 2 SA-10's in a 2 cu. ft box net, ported, tuned to 33-35 Hz. Also powered by a SAZ-1500.

My max dimensions are 50"L, 22"H, 9"D bottom, 5"D top.

I made up a box using the torres box calculator, but I was having problems with the port.

I'm planning on using aeroports, but they were needing to be too long for that tuning in a small box.

Not sure what diameter, and how many I would need.

If anyone can help me out I'd appreciate it!

That's just what my friend recommended, he said they like quite a bit of power.

I was originally gonna get a saz-1500, So if 2-2.2k is too much, i'll get that.

Does manufacturer recommendations mean anything. They say 600rms each not 1000 plus.

Iv'e heard they can take more than rated, but I'll just stick with the saz-1500.

What is the xmax of the SA's? 19mm? I would stick with close to recommended power also. No need to run twice the rated power. SAZ1500 would work well. If you want to save some money buy my BNIB AQ1200 in the for sale section.

Yep, 19mm xmax one way.

Since the xmax is 19mm, with 35hz tuning, I would recommend at least an 8" port which is 50.25 square inches of port. Slot port will be much easier to achieve what you want.

Is there someone that can design a box for me? I'm just having trouble with the port, what size, and which area to put it. Slot port is fine with me.
