zcon 15 box for f150 ext.cab

Recommended Posts

ok well my box is going to begin being built this weekend and i still dont know how to put the sub or port. im going with 4.5cubes tuned@ 34Hz. so once again, sub up port up, sub forward port up???????

Do you like to put stuff on top of your box? Do you put stuff in front of your box? Its all vehicle dependent on which sounds better. You will have to experiment. Either way I would put the sub and port on the side of the box. example: sub up port up or sub forward port forward.

i keep everything clear from around my sub box so that isnt a issue. im thinking of doing sub and port up... though i did see on youtube a ssa zcon 18 in a ext cab 1500 and he was going sub up, port side....... idk

I'd go sub up and port up.

Id probably go port/sub up or sub forward and port firing to the side loading off the wall of the truck. If your wanting to know the best one then building different boxes and testing is the only way to find out, nobody on here can really tell you what would work best or be the loudest.

Have you deadened the roof? If not you might not want the sub/port to load off of it cuz it will flex and rattle like crazy and it may or may not cause damage.

My rear window would let rain in when I had the port aimed back in my suv. I know you have a truck, but just something to think about.

EDIT: It's also easier to build a loading wall when the sub is faced front/back or to the side than it is to build one on the roof.
