Should i change amps?

Recommended Posts

Well were do i start... lets see i currently have a nINE.1 running my 12" mag d2... this month i will be ripping my car apart to deaden it >_< that mag rattles my car like crazy... anyways... im thinking of getting another 12" mag for sure also i have the thought of possibly getting a total of 4 and just taking my rear seats out ^_^ but my main question is should i get new amps when i get my other mag or if i go with the 4 should i change my amps out?? or just buy some more nINE.1's this wont be for like 2-3months because 3 mags arnt cheap :P plus the cost of amps...

the Incriminator 20.1 might be a great option if you want to upgrade and you are running 2 MAGs

ok cool, those go for like 1000$ dont they? and they put out 1800w so 900 each sub?? i was looking for atleast 1200w a sub :P

was looking at the Z7000 as well it puts out 1500w@1ohms was thinking maybe 2 of those if i get 2 mags or 4 if i get 4 :P or should i just get 1 amp to run all 4? or 2 w.e. i decide to do..

The 20.1 go for around 700. You can get a discount if you search around. I will be picking one up as soon as I sell my current amp for $525.

If you run mags you will want to run the mp at .5 ohm. It is fine for the amp ;)

MUCH more power then 1800rms I promice. More in the range of 2200rms @ 1ohm, so you are looking at quite a bit at .5.

ok cool, so thats like 1400$ or so for amps and another 1100$ or so for 3 more subs, and probably like 300-400$ for my noise dapening mats, and then the cost for the box's wich i will have made for me, 300-400$ plus all the wiring ^.^ im looking at like 4000$ easy... woohoo i start saving 2day no more lunch for awhile i guess...

well you do know the 9.1 with good voltage will put out 1500w @ 1ohm so 2 of them at 1ohm will give you like 2800-3000w ,and you can bidge lower ,people use them at .5-.75ohms all day long

just a suggestion

I wanna see some current tests on the 20.1

I have thought about the amp, but I just found a BPX2200.1 I might grab.

yea you can run them at that ohm load ,as long as you have good voltage ,and dont go crazy on the gain settings ...DELVRYBOY i think thats his name burped the 9.1 at .12 ohms so they can take a beating
