Or maybe this is the one ?? ;)

I had a reason for the screws on the inner horn walls. They are so far into the center of the enclosure. It's hard to get good solid clamping one them. So I use scrap pieces, and clamp them over top of the walls to provide adequate clamping force while I put the screws in.

The screws provide better pulling force over brads. Which is really needed here. :)

Woodworx?

wood glue from loctite or what? im too lazy to google.

So far ive found nothing better than gorilla and your standard wood glue works fine with screws....however, the lie that your basic chitty woodglue is stronger than the wood itseelf is BS...i had no problem tearing my 1/2 finished wicked one with a few hits from a 2lb hammer.

Yep wood worx is from loc tite. It's cheaper than titebond and works just as well . I'm with you on the gorilla glue. they went up on the price here though. It's $15 for the small bottle now :(:)

THe new woodglues are alot stronger. Most are hybrid versions of what they used to be.:)

Elmers also has a urethane glue out called pro bond or something like that. Wal mart has it for $2.88 for the same size as the woodworx ( 16oz I think ) I'm gonna buy a bottle and give it a whirl. :)

From time to time I come across old drivers. A lot of which are so old, finding listed t/s parameters is impossible. :( So I have started the search for a way to test for t/s parameters myself. Which lead me to parts express and the woofer tester 2. Anybody had any experience with this thing ? How accurate are the measurements it provides ?  Is there any other cheaper more accurate way to test t/s parameters ? Any help would be much appreciated.

here's a link to the woofer tester 2. :)

Actually normal woodglue is far superior to anything. Wood clue creates a chemaical reaction between the two pieces which causes them to fuse together as one. Think if it as welding wood. Any other adhesive is just that. The panels are bonded together by the adhesive and that's it. Still two pieces of wood with adhesive inbetween. Use soem adhesive on two panels and woodglues on two panels, then tear them apart. The adhesive one will break at the adhesive, while the woodglue joint will actually tear part of the wood off between the two boards. The bond with woodglue is actually stronger than the wood itself.

**OT** Nick, nice to see you back. Remember that proposition on the JBL??? If you want to do that, let me know. It'll be here Monday. :fing34:

I smashed the face out o fone of my enclosures that i glued in.

The majority of the seal was torn out, as in, the MDF just ripped off where the glue stopped
