Recommended Posts

Hey guys to give a little info on my set up so far, I'm sort of on a budget but in need of bass :) who isnt right? Well i bought 2 2010 kicker cvr 12"s for $100 for the pair

going to have them on a crunch pzi. 1500 i know p.o.s amp but its what i got for now :(

the box specs. are: 30 inch wide X 14 height X 29 deep. Port is going to be 4 inches wide X 12.5 inch tall X 18.5 inches depth tuned to 32 hz with 45* in the corners

each sub is getting 2.486635 cubic feet each

would this box sound good or what should i add or take off. Any info or input would be greatly appreciated

I hope you don't cut the port as a part of your baffle like you have pictured. :ehh:

Nothing wrong with it.. just more trouble than it's worth IMO. But to each their own.

That is almost the quickest and cleanest way to do the port. I do it all the time. I use a 1 1/2" long flush cut router trim bit. Takes about 60 seconds after you drill the plunge hole and is 100% perfect every time....

It also gives the strongest outer baffle layer.

The vents in the picture took about a minute each. They are huge and that is one solid baffle.

Some small enclosures there lol

I do the same with flushed baffles. Offers a stronger much cleaner look. I also use the same method as you, drilling a whole and using a flush trim. Makes a bit of a mess if you do not have a n exhaust system though.
