UFO Style BTL

Hi, guys I just had a quick question. I am in the market for a used 15 in BTL. I was wondering what the differences of the UFO style magnet are vs the newer ones. Is the UFO style 2000w RMS like the current? Also does it still have 28mm of xmax. And can it handle a little bit of overpowering (2400w) like the new style can. I can only chime in on the older UFO style. There monsters! As for power handling you should be fine if you do things right. From what I hear the newer n2 has a bit less motor force. That's about as far as my knowledge goes. I love my UFO style btl and wish I could still buy them new ( to match the one I have)

go to ficaraudio.com and find out if it is true or not, the N1 has never been released.

ya the new style has 10% less motor force...

i would say the ufo style can handle 2400wrms... just be careful with it and watch the excusion and listen for distortion when your tuning the amp.

Neo is too expensive and it makes zero sense to make..so we decided not to.

Thanks guys now I feel like an idiot haha. This is a picture of the BTL I bought so for confirmation this one is also rated for 2000w like the n2 correct? Can it handle about 2500W RMS or will that be too much for it. I appreciate your guys help as it will enable me to decide whether or not I need to sell my amp and buy a new one. Thanks!

If things are dialed in properly you will not have issues..if they are not..you will.

If by saying dialed in you mean gain, well I have access to an oscilloscope as I am majoring in electronics/computer engineering. I drive a sentra 08 se-r spec v and it has a 110 amp alternator, do you think that if I keep the amp dialed down to about 1500 watts until I upgrade my electrical I will have any problems?

ya as long as you tune the gains right it can handle 2500wrms...

your 110a alt can handle 1500wrms... just make sure to get a good battery... xs power d3100 ftw
