what will fit

Recommended Posts

ok heres the deal im wanting to buy two 18's for my truck and want to know if the btl n2s will fit. I have an 01 ford f150 supercab which is just an extended cab 4x4.What i'm wanting to do is build a wall basically take the whole back seat out and build the enclosure in the truck.I am going to apply dynomax deadner and i have a pioneer avic z130 bt head unit and going to purchase two kicker zx 2500 amps and two yellow tops cause my trucks battery is almost dead anyway also going to get a bigger alt. or possibly two.Have already bought power acoustik mids and tweets.all going to be ran with 0 gauge.so basically i want the btls but dont know if they will fit because of the recommended specs for enclosure.and does anyone see a problem with the other equipment i'm goin to push these hopefully with?

You would have to measure and see what the maximum volume box you can fit in being your two front seats are. I've seen a lot of people in trucks to subs/port up. If 18s won't fit, I can guarantee you that 15s will.

Also, for those two amps, you'll need some stronger batteries than yellow tops. Yellow tops are a fine battery, don't get me wrong, but they are not ideal for car audio. The max amperage on them is low and that's what you want in car audio batteries. Look into XS. Mechman provides a solid alternator as well.

Ok thanks for the info i will check both of them out as for the subs i will measure and if the 18s dont fit i'm pretty sure i will purchase the 15s i'm sold on these subs cant wait to get them going.

o you'll be happy with the fi btls... i love mine...

kicker 2500wrms amps seem like a good choice for them... i would run 1 or 2 xs power d3100 batteries.... then look into a mechman alternator like allen said...
