neo pro 8 power handling?

Recommended Posts

i know they're rated at 100w rms, but crossed at say 80 to 100hz, what do you think they can take Jacob? i have about 250w per mid the way itll be wired. not sure if theyll handle that over time or not.

I give a little over 100 per side at 85hz and they do it just fine with a few hours at full tilt, honestly doubt they would take 200 watts, maybe at a high xover point.

Your amp won't put out the full rated power when crossed over so you will be fine more than likely.

Power varies alot by frequency with most of it going to low frequencies -- you would be surprised how "little" a mid sees through the crossover.
