I'd buy that explorer from his uncle at the price he's selling it... :)

I do have to consider the terrain differences. I think Stefan lives in AZ... or somewhere near there. A little different than here in Northern Michigan.

But, i am biased as hell

I should have been more specific about the term Four wheeling, as this is what I did:

Obviously you can't compare a stock vehicle to one that's not, but I don't really see tricking out an explorer like a jeep for 4x4ing.

Once you start modding anything is possible

The off-road Explorer crowd is larger than people think. Especially the first generation. Obviously some wranglers that come stock with a locking rear diff and skid plates and such are more aimed towards off-roading, but that's a given. I was simply stating that to rule the explorer out so quickly may have been uncritical.
