Power options for two 10 BLs

Recommended Posts

I am looking into putting two 10' BLs into a new Camaro. My question is this: Will a Memphis PR1.1000 or MC1.1100 be enough to get them off the ground adequately? I know it's not going to push their peak, but I was looking at using two 10' Memphis C3s instead of the BLs, but I'd rather have the BLs because I'm sure that they will outperform the Memphis subs.

Any help or input would be great, thanks!

You can NEVER underpower a sub. I don't know anything about those Memphis subs, but you would be damn happy with 2 bl 10's off of 1,000 watts!

Well my other option was to go with a 15 Mojo running off of a Soundstream 4k, but that would take up a tremendous amount of space and I really DON'T want to have to get another battery put in. I'm not too knowledgeable for the higher end setups (I currently have two 8's running off of an 1800 watt amp), but I want to make the space that I do use make the most noise for me, lol.

dude those BL's are no joke with the right power. I got about 1800w going to mine. You will do em no justice under powering em.

Adjust the enclosure size to the power if need be. :)

why not use the 1800 watt amp? to big physically?

No it's just an off brand (Diesel) amp that's listed at 1800 but its not pushing all of that. That and the quality of the power running will be much better with the new amp.

Well one of my concerns is that they'll require more space than I would like to give up. I want a great system that still leaves some room in the trunk after a custom box install. The Fi site has the 10's listed at 1.5 cu per sub ported (if I'm not mistaken), how does that sounds for pushing 1000 watts to each sub?

Do they not make the 4" coil option for BLs anymore?

Not currently.
