After talking to a few people with different opinions, i wanted to see as a whole where people stand on this topic. This will be my first real build and i really want it to be the best it can be. Ill be running an Fi BTL N2 18 and i wanted to know which option will suit this build better.

the only way to find out for sure, with your particular application, is to experiment. Idk if you have the resources to do so but it would produce the best results.

Its all a matter of preference. I personally like firing into the cabin

i have done both, but had better luck with firing to the rear, what type of car is the build for. And what type of sound are you looking for?

Its a 2004 Impala. And idk, i just want it to sound good. I think ill be firing it backwards, because it will be a LOT easier for my first build.

I always thought people fired it backwards to make to lower bass, but if you tune you box low and fire it forward, it will be low!

And I think a speaker is meant to be facing the audience! Just my own opinion....

If you do facwe it away from you, at least have the port facing you...

i know in turbo-ed vehicles, it's common for them to backfire if the catalytic converter is still installed.

or should i say aftermarket.. i'm sure it's a tuning or exhaust sizing issue.
