Sundown SAX-1200D

Recommended Posts

Just looking to find out since I cannot easily see it posted already anywhere... If I get (2) SAX-1200Ds and link them together, what kind of output would I be looking at?? Mainly looking to find out if it is 2ohm stable if linked as well..

Thanks for any help fellas..

From what I've read on forums you're fine as long as they are the same version, you can't have one v1 and another v2. Might want somebody elses opinion as well though.

Cool, I just found the manual stating the output I found was correct... But I'm just curious about the gain? I remember reading through a thread stating that only the master gain had to be set and crossover settings as well.... Thanks for finding that one. :fing34: :fing34: :fing34:

Yes the master settings work for both amplifiers

Should I be doing this or go for like an ap1800.1??? I'm needing more output.. other option is to go ported...

I would spend the money to go ported first and then get the amplifier/s. If the two 1200s is a great deal then jump on it.

Okay, I guess I need to look at getting some design drawn up by somebody... I can figure dimensions with Torres' calculator but I don't think I could "design" the whole thing...

Just have Audibel Customs build one for you. The "affordable" ones look very nice and are priced right.

Can't do his affordable enclosure... After displacement it would leave me with less than 3 cubes which is not something I think would be a good idea.... SSA recommends 3+ cubes..

Definitely. Start by making your xcon efficient with the power you have.
