Recommended Posts

Im new to the site, currently have 2 12" pioneer champ series pro running off a cpt1-3200d power acoustik amp. 0 gauge stinger wire with all pioneer 5way door speakers + pioneer 3200dvd head unit. I know im going to need to upgrade my alt. and buy an capacitor as well. Im lookin to buy either one 15btl or 18btl to throw in with these 12s or 2 15s to replace them. Just looking for any good ideas on what sub to get, not worried about the $ either so let me know! thanks

It would help if you listed some goals for the system. It's hard to recommend something without knowing what it is you're looking for. You should also list your max dimensions for a box because I have some doubts that an Accord is going to be able to fit 2 15's or an 18 in a properly sized ported enclosure. I could be wrong so without knowing the space you have to work with it's hard to say.

Ya that's the thing, i don't exactly know all the ways to determine my space and my box and stuff. Guess ill do some research first, but yeah spacei s limited in my accord sedan. But i don't mind throwing some in my back seat with the seat down (lol). And i only mentioned money is not an issue so i would get more ideas from people. I put about 1.2k in my system i have now basically, and i wouldnt mind spending the same for the next step up if possible. These 2 12s i have right now flex my whole roof and flex's my front windshield decent, but i'm ready to step up to some crazy stuff lol. So i was guessing maybe 2 15"s would be the best in my view not sure though. Ill look up on the box dimensions and all that after work and add that in. thanks for the quick replies + welcomes.

A single BTL 15" could do serious damage...in a good way.

To figiure out your dimensions you should start by measuring your trunk opening. The inside of your trunk might be 48" wide but if the opening is only 30" you've got a problem. You can mock up a box with cardboard or plywood to get an idea of what will fit. How big is the box you currently have?

I agree with Duran's BTL suggestion. That would be a nice choice for what you want. Just be sure you have the electrical to back your amp because electrical upgrades aren't cheap.
