Well it doesn't really matter but I like the dd m1b cuz I can match it up wit the dd c5b which is better than the 4ch amp powerbass makes

The M1b has a fuse rating of 160 amps vs the xta1500d's rating of 120. The DD is a bit smaller and does rated power at much lower voltage too.

IDK if any of this matters to you or not :ughdunno:

Why do you want your amps to match? The DD is a pretty good amp IMO I am not familiar with the PB. Being able to do rated power at 11.9V vs the PB's 14.4V could potentially be a big plus for you

Usually for personal reasons and it makes a setup more cosmetic appealing. I like matching amps and I personally would go with the DD if it was out the two your looking at, nothing wrong with Powerbass though. Its your money and your install, get what you and your wallet like.

Makes sense. I hadn't considered that aspect.

Is there much of a price difference? I wouldn't even consider picking the xta1500 over the M1b unless the price difference was significant.

Well the xta1500d is about 100 more but its brand new. I heard the m1b is a really reliable amp so I feel pretty confident buying it used......
