Ok so i had went to the meca show here in my town of bakersfield on saturday and wow!!! There had to of been over 200 show cars there and all of flex issues rides. The food was good, the ladies were lookin good, and the Dc audio was slammin!! Iv never heard dc before this and i had always wondered what the fuss was about but now i know. There was a suv there with 4 18s doin 155 and at the end of his run he had shaddered his windshield completely!! Then a little crx with 2 12" dc xls puttin in work like no other. All together it was an amazing show and i Had lots of fun.

exactly, and that is why i want to hear some zcons now , was hoping there would be a couple ssa guys out at the meet but i didnt see anything except dc cuz it was a flex issues comp

There is nothing special about any one sub company that i can think of that would make them the best for spl.

DC is popular because of what you get for the price, there many lines to choose from(they had 3 non-published lines, now they have 2, Neo and Level6), great custom addons and mods that can be done, customer service, and the fact that you are buying something that is not cheapily built, something that is just as strong as any other decent company's product.

exactly, people just hate on a company because they perffer a different one, that doesnt make them bad just not for them, to me i like to hear them all and decide for myself what i like. SSA is my home for subage and really wish to hear there subs but until then dc is the best iv heard so far for me. around here people run kicker and mtx on the streets, this meet was my first and i got to hear something else besides my fi bl and i loved it. doesnt mean once i hear a ssa sub that ill be in love with them now haha , anyone wanna give me some demos of some badass zcon setups hehe

I'm not taking anything away from DC or there products just having some fun on a boring Sunday. Plus I know Shizzon runs DC subs

Almost bought a level 4. They have great prices, listing the peak power handling really bugs me though

i'll help you out..

The Level4s handled 7,000w on multiple burps without harm.

Running 7,000w of power to them for daily, eh... they will last 10 seconds before the coils start to stink.

So there you go, 7x the rated power.

hahaha yea the guy that had 2 12" xls was running a dc 9k to them which is around what 4-5k rms which is damn impressive and was slammin them all day long

word of advice.. you cannot just swap subs and the other one be audibly louder....

Subs are not that different from one to another.

You know, one of my comp buddies loudest setup was using a single Alpine Type R...

Since then, he's tried AQ HDC, Fi BTL, DD 9500...

They were all metering less than 1db from each other...

That isn't audible..

The box and tuning has a greater effect than what sub you use.

oh yes i totally understand this shizzzon i was just saying i liked how it sounded, not trying to get louder or anything just seemed like they hit the lows better just like the q isnt louder then the bl but the q hits lows better then the bl, iv noticed im more of a lows guy i love seein that tiny honda roof flexin like a mug haha, and also thats what subs are all about trying out new stuff and getting to know what certain subs can do and what they cant do. Its like i can either get another bl and just be louder or sell it and get 2 dc and have a complete different sound, my next step i want to keep for a while so do i want to keep the same sound just louder or try out something new ya know
