Does my box look right?

Recommended Posts

((2 * 250.3125 * 10) - (0.159230769 * 2 * (12^3)) - (30.830229 * 2)) / (12^3) = 2.54299074 cu ft. That’s with port, sub, 45s and skeletal displacement taken into consideration.

That makes the box tuned to around 34.02Hz if the math is correct.....

let me know guys, what you think it is for 2 dc audio xl 10"s

powered by an aq3500d1 in a 1ohm load,

think my tunining is to high? still able to hit the lows you think? i wanted to be able to play normal music as well since its my daily driver 1st real build so im just taking everything into condsideration since this box is built already just waitin on my other d3100 to come monday

wtf?

I'm not going to backtrack your math down to almost a billionth..

Human error is by far more inaccurate than calculations...

Simplify this better.

I'll make it easy for you-

Internal dimensions-

Height, width, depth.

Multiply those 3 in unit of inches and divide by 1728.

Now take displacement of port, both subs and bracing and subtract from answer above.

Also- if u want destructive lows.. 3-3.25cuft net for these 2 10s would be killer.

Going with 2.5cuft is still fine though.

well i apologize for making it so complex i never thoughed about that, i was using a program my father friend had on his computer when i was designing the box 1st time so its probley, does have faults and the issue was space in my trunk its goin to be ina mustang its horrible to make it fit, but box is done already and it was to big in height so I AM A have to sawzall the trunk alil bit to make it fit,

so i dont ill be able to get another 1cuft or 1.5 in it, while still having room for 2d3100 and an aq3500d1 sundown100.4,

and the reason for the question on the box is because i forgot who else i showed this too and they told me

Your peak port velocity should be 38 m/s at 33Hz. This is still a little high for my subs, so i just wanna see if it would be a big difference on output in different frequiences, again im new at this so if im getting wrong info let me know im just trying to gain as much information as i can i realized there alot of science and math on the world of car audio and im willing to learn everything to obtain my goal

thanks and sorry the long back story
