Question for Sundownz

Recommended Posts

Hey Jacob and the Sundown crew, I had a question that (due to my wording...) may have kept from yielding and useful topics in the searchbar. I have a Nightshade V1 12, and was wondering if it would be beneficial or even feasible to re-cone to a V2. Still on my learning curve about driver components and what does what, but is this a recommended idea? Would YOU do it? Didn't know if it would yield grand results, or if I should just go with a V1 re-cone. Thanks a million!

V.2 is a different motor to V.1. Soft parts are compatible.

Don't do it! The v2 parts don't like the v1 motor lol.

So yes you can but it isnt recommened but you might be able to trade up one v2 for your v1 plus cash on your end but you have to ask about that one.

Cone, surround, dustcap, voice coil, spiders. I think that's it :P

Just to give you an idea:

The parts are in stock; I still keep quite a few v.1 coils around -- but we will have to assemble them.

So I'll need to ship you the driver? :( Don't know if I can be without my jams for that long :*( Guess that'll give me time to assemble the box I designed and get it in the new car :)

No, he is saying he needs to glue the parts together, he will then ship you the finished assembly to install in the driver. If you are able that is.

Oh of course. I am pretty mechanically inclined. I've rebuilt every car I've owned, so reconing shouldn't be a problem.
