3 different subs to one amp

Recommended Posts

my friend keeps asking me questions about this and i dont really know the answer. he wants to hook 3 subs to one amp. the amplifier he wants to use:

RMS Power @ 4 OHM 160W x 2

RMS Power @ 4 OHM 340W x 1

RMS Power @ 2 OHM 225W x 2

RMS Power @ 2 OHM 460W x 1

one of the subs is: 4 ohm - 200 watt RMS

the other 2 are: 8 ohm - 250 RMS

is there a way he could hook these up? thanks.

Of course the answer is yes, but it is also a bad idea. What subs are they?

umm... 2 of them are 8 inch kicker solo x's and the other is an old bazooka tube.

what might happen if he did this?

I'll answer your question with a question. Would you run 4 different engines to each tire of your vehicle or 4 alike engines? Think about it.
