Need help with box design one sa-8

Hi guys,

As the title says, i need a box for my sa-8 but i don't have an enclosure yet. I already saw this thread:

But i wanted to get your opinion with this one:

can you tell me which one is better? The only difference is the port area. The second one is bigger thus have a higher tuning. I listen to hip hop, rap music most of the time by the way.

Any help/insight is appreciated.

I would go with the lower tuning, 38 is a little high for me. But then again, i would get a pro to design a box for me, not go off of a shady calculator. Then they can graph it and see how the sub could perform in said box, fine tuning to your specs.

What are your goals? If I had to choose between the two I'd go with the first one because I like lower tuning.

First I would use the Torres box calculator. Much more accurate than the RE.

Change the file name to exe when you save it or it will not launch.
