Difference between 4" and 3" voice coil?

Recommended Posts

I am going to order a new Fi BL 15 and I noticed there is a new option to choose between a 4" and 3" coil. What is the difference and which will I want for my daily setup.

Yup, but would be nice if you wanted a larger amp in the future?

I had the first VFL'S extremes with 3 inch voice coils and for 8 years I hit them with 2400 watts .and then I up graded to the powerbass extreme class 3000D and had work done to it and hit them for 3 years every time I was in my Yukon gt .and still hit on the epic 160 148-150 with widows up or down .and won trophys with them 6 and played them every day .I just blow them up last year trying to put 12000 watts to them lol oh well that lasted a long time .and longer then any other sub had .and I can prove it all day .call bob and ask him who is big tee I use to compete years ago .with my brother Byron we went to the world finals in 02 with his car 9 +'s class team Detroit or look me up and look for bug tee the years I was doing in 98-02

And doing 146-150 on the old TermLab is like a 140-144 today(I think)...

But regardless, what was the point in that rant? It has nothing to do with the topic at hand?
