:rofl2: Sorry i am just so excited like a kid on christmas, :woot: they were waiting for me on my door when i got home from the gym, mannnnn these things are soo beefy, i own some DD 1008's and thought nothing else could touch them until i opened these up, they are built like a brick shithouse! my wife couldnt even pick 1 of them up, i cant wait to break them in and then cause some chaos, btw im going with a sundown 1200D, but still need someone to build me a box :( im horrible with that stuff

Rofl. I love how you say your wife can't even pick one up lol.

May I suggest Argent Audio for an enclosure, Andrew does great work, affordable, and he's in California too so shipping may not be as much.

I bought 2, i got kind of worried when they were selling out so quick, so i bought them right away, how do you guys suggest breaking them in, im kind of a noob, my thought was to wire them in parallel (2) dvc 4's to 8 ohms each then wire in series to a 4 ohm mono load giving them 400 rms from the 1200d just to loosen up the cone and spiders etc, then after 2 weeks wire them to 1 ohms mono to get 1200 rms, what are your ideas, btw i wonder where in CA this argent audio is, i would love a cstom box built specifically for these beast but for now just a universale size, because im gonna sell my chrysler 300 and try and get a newe Audi a4 1.8t, then build a custom box once that car is mine, was thinking of building thema box for the audi where the vents would be lined up with the rear seat arm rest as a "blow through" thatd be sick, any ideas or suggestions are welcome,BTW when i figure out how to do pic uploads ill take some SA-8 vs. DD 1008 pics :fing34:

Andrew is out of Gilroy, I believe.

As for breaking them in, just wire them down to 1ohm and play'm. They'll eventually soften a little, and possibly play a little lower / louder, but there is no need for breaking in like an engine...

Just wire 'em up to 1 and be done with it.
