187 10's sealed?

Right now i have just a hair over 3 cubes to work with for 3 187 10's.... i have done them in this amount of volume ported and wasnt real happy with low end. has anyone had experience with these sealed?

You will lose low end by going sealed. What were you tuned at and how much port area did you have?

i dont remember exactly, the guy is more concernd with SQ more than anything. i wanna say it was around 30-35 inches of port tuned to 34

but that was also 3 net. the way i sit now it will be 2.7 net with this box after the port :/ he wanted 3... treid to talk him int0 2

if u didnt like 3 in 3cuft.. simple solution-

Drop it down to 2 10s in 3 cubes net.

Problem solved.

normally thats what i would do, but the guy bought 3 before he contacted me to do the install.... so i have to do 3 lol

And you must be firm with these people.

Don't make their problem become your problem.

Tell them how it is-

If you want more low end, they need to lose a sub.

Tell him to sell it, use it for something else, etc...

You could add polyfill to the ported box but i can tell u that the most audible thing that's going to do is just absorb the higher end making it "appear" their is little more low end.

You're not a magician. If we could all run the smallest boxes possible and get the best output below 30hz would we all be geniuses.
