Look what DC Power sent me

Recommended Posts

On my way to work today my alternator spiked over 17v and now is only charging at 13.0v. This is the second mysterious failure I have had with this alternator. Ironically when this happened I didn't even have my stereo above talking level.

What should I do?

April 25th 2011 was when the alternator failed the first time after being installed for a month. Now 4 months later it failed again.

Does this alternator have a bad voltage regulator?????

Thanks Kyle. I called Rob yesterday and left him a voicemail.

Eric, I saw that you dropped it off. We will take a look at the alternator and see what's up. We do have an idea of what's causing this problem but I want to make sure we're correct before I post about it. I will keep you updated though! Thanks for being a great hamster for the Hyundai's

Thank you for fixing the alternator. Maybe I will have consistently 14.4-14.7 voltage now as well.

Like I said on the phone if you have a customer with any questions about this install please contact me and I will help any way I can.
