Sure thing.

1. The few vendors that did pay the fees' date=' paid Patrick, and from the

looks of it, the money was not used as it was supposed to be. In order

to get/keep this place running fast and smooth we need to upgrade our

software and servers. Plus I have to pay someone to manage the coding.

IT all ads up and is very expensive. Without any google ads, this place

generates very little so vendors are the major source of income for the

site. Since our vendors are herea to make money, they will be required

to pay money for that service.

2. Contributing financially is much different from contributing content

wise. You being here makes absolutely no money for ****. In fact, It

does the exact opposite. It generates income for you while costing me

money. Regardless of how much content you contribute, the expense of

running this place still lays upon my shoulders. Having you here takes

money via bandwidth, making money off of my investement.

It would be different if we had google ads that brought in some

revenue. Then more traffic = more clicks and more $$$.

Not the case though. As it stands now, more traffic = more bandwidth =

More money I spend with nothing in return.

3. I am not sure what the new program will look like, but I do know

that all vendors will be required to pay the annual fee of $500 in order

to keep their subforums. Once you pay, you will get some amount of bonus

permissions. At this time, I do not know what they are. I still have to

figure it out, but as a previous vendor, I understand what vendors want.

CONVERSIONS. I will make sure that whatever changes are made, that they

help you with the conversion of our members, in to customers. Either

through help with brand awareness, promotions, or outright advertising.

I will make sure that the The $500 you spend to be here will be a

worthwhile investment.

Keep in mind too, that for a forum of this size (traffic wise) $500 per

year is nothing. When I owned Second Skin I was paying $800 per month to

advertise on some forums. others I paid an average of $1200 for a simple

banner, and $2500-$5000 per year for my own forum. Some of these sites

did not have nearly the traffic an reach as **** does. In the end, $500

is very cheap, and will probably go up to $1000 per year as we get even

more traffic.

The vendors here stand to do very well off of our traffic, and as such

will be required to help pay to keep this place up and running. I will

do my part to insure that you have the tools you need to promote your

brand to our members and turn those views in to money.

This was never discussed with Patrick or

myself. It never even came up once in conversation. In fact' date=' My lawyers

wrote the contract and he signed it. He had absolutely zero input as to

how it was laid out.

Being that you were told by the previous owner that your contributions

would hold you over for life, I would be pissed too if I found out that

the new owner was not going to honor that.

I have been thinking of different ways to handle this, and honestly

there is no gentle way to do it. Vendors are going to have to pay to be

here.

Part of the reason this site has gone without updates for so long is

becuase they money was not spent on the server or the upgrades as it

should have been.

From a business standpoint it was a very poor decision on his part to

offer a lifetime membership in the first place, there is absolutely no

way I can continue with that plan. I would be foreced to pay out of my

own pocket, and if not, the site would go under in a matter of months. I

already spent a large amount of money to save this site, and I need to
