I may have one up for sale when its finished being repaired. :)

:fing34:

I was told if everything is good in the output section today then its going to be shipped back to me today. :)

And I personally wouldn't go care for the prices of the DC amps. From what shizzzon told me, they are expensive and nothing special is added to the table. But its just me based on what shizzzon has told me.

I've just receive an answer from a South East dealer, and they are not expensive at all ! they have a 2000 w and a 3500 w models. Not really what I'm looking for, but with such pricing, I may go that route.

I will not post those prices here, bu they are niiiice !

I'm afraid to run a 3500 watts amp on my car, and going from 1500 w to 2000 w won't change a lot for me !

I guess expensive is relative. lol. But don't be scared to run 3500 watts. If need to, you can turn the gain down after some stressed demoing or self enjoyment.

A DC 3500 is cheaper than a Sundown 2500 ! Got it ?!

I don't know how are the build quality and the parts used in it, but it's a new option for me.

I've seen the price sheet.

The 2000w is kinda high for what it is. AQ is cheaper.

The 3500 isn't badly priced, but I hear the old Sundown 3000d is compared its output.

The 5000watt is on point with most in that range.

There 9kw is the cheapest one, well at presale price.

I never got a price on the 7.5k or 12k, because they didn't have many coming in yet.

Strapping. Its like bridging a 2channel. The impedance is cut in half. If you have a dual 2, I think the coils are actually 1.4s. Wired in series in 2.8ohms. Then after bridging the amps your back at 1.4ohms.

MAP vs MAP it isn't.

Dealer vs Dealer it isn't.

So obviously you got quoted between dealer and MAP.

But I wouldn't be surprised if the Sundown 2500d was close in output.

Thanks Ford302 for the info about the way to strap amps ! I did not understand the .4 .8 thing ! I got it , now !

Audioque may be cheaper, but I can't have them, and I don't want them neither.

The 2000 w is cheaper than a Sundown 1500 !

I can always find cheaper, like Audiopipe, Crunch,...

x2, Ford302redneck have you ever tested one or seen a test on either of the DC Amps. If not dont speculate we dont pass info around like that here, only facts. Thanks

Ive heard good things about the DC amps, come from the build house that Cactus Sounds amps and where the Sundown SAZ-4500D comes from. Prices are around the same as the Crescendo amps that will be coming out in the next few weeks.

I didn't say it would. I just said I wouldn't be surprised. That's neither a fact or misleading anybody. Its not like I said, I bet the Sundown 2500d is stronger and better. So chill out.

I'm not saying nothing bad about DC amps or the buildhouse. So where did you get that?

And yes I know people who have tested a good amount of boards from that buildhouse. The DC 3.5k was one of them but no need to get into that.

Thank you all for these informations. I don't see DC amps so often in builds, and there are very few topics about them. I think I've read that they were selling outside the USA only. It seems they have changed their mind, now !

DC 3500

SAZ 3000 refurbished

Saz2500 used (when it comes)

Crunch 3000 new, cheapest solution

...

Still thinking ...

Problem with the DC is they haven't got stock up yet. They pretty much sell them all before they arrive.

Plus the DC people are on SMD.

But out of the amps listed, there won't be a big power difference between any of them in my opinion...

Ok so now here are the final options :

Sundown saz 3000 refurb from db-r for $700

OR Sundown saz 2500 new from Woofersetc for $ 815.

I'm waiting for shipping quotes for those 2.

Do you think the old saz 3000 is a good choice (reliability wise) ? I'm afraid to buy a refurbished old amp, even from db-r. It would be my first used amp bought on the internet. but the price is right for me !

you should really get the notion of being refurbished is a bad thing. What do you think Chris does with refurbish amps? He goes through everything so it is a brand new amp basically after he is done.

Not sure if it was stated but crescendo will offer pre-order pricing if you call them and ask them about it.

$ is low these days comparing with €, I was very happy to see the price in Euros(€) !!!

don't want Cresc or DC, sorry ! They may have very good amplifiers, I might try them some day.

I keep it Sundown for now.:peepwall:

Thanks guys !!

I'll let you know the results when I get it !

I wanted the saz 2500, budget played a factor ! And woofersetc is slow to answer now. Maybe they don't have anymore in stock.

So I bought the saz 3000 from db-r. They told me it's a b-stock that they will make like brand new ! I'll see.
