Shopping at American Eagle...

Recommended Posts

Clothing that costs twice what I normally buy and is of no better quality? No thank you. I have a few other reasons why I don't shop there either.

You mean overpriced shit quality, already worn out, teeny bopper wanna be clothes. I despise all stores similar and really don't understand the draw. Looking sloppy should not be something you aspire to. We are about the only country in the world where that is the norm and it is sickening.

I guess that would depend on your definition of sloppy. T-shirts and shorts is about the most comfortable thing to wear for me; can't stand collars, long pants, or closed toed shoes of any kind. I think Ted Williams said it best: "Ties are just maxi-pads for your neck".

Ill fitting, worn out, offensive lyric'd, torn, and so on.

I would also guarantee that your issue with collars and such are caused by ill-fitting clothes. Best decision I ever made was starting to have all my dress shirts and pants made for me.

I am finally getting my first 'fully custom' set of suits before I leave here.

Sean do you have any color or style recommendations?

As for AE...........I think I have maybe 8 shirts from them, but they are all over 4 years old. I am going to need new clothes when we get home anyways.

J

Always start timeless, unless you are willing to go full boat from the get go.

You damn youngin.

I actually started wearing, Volcomb, QuickSilver, Fox and such. It wasn't really popular like it is now.

I still rock skate shoes. I had a pair of Rob Dydrek sig shoes back in 03, they has been my all time favorite looking shoes.

I've always like Van Rowleys too, that's almost the only Vans I'll wear.

I can't even wear a pair of Nikes or such because of how narrow the shoe looks.

But learning on SMD is like being in the slow class, even if your the smartest one, your still slow. No offense to anybody.

LOL

I used to wear QuickSilver and Fox, but I just dont like their sweatshirts and short sleeves. They dont have the same "feel" as AE if you know what I mean

I like many skate shoes either. Others are just "bleh" to me.

Vans shoes are okay to me. I only like three styles though

Im picky with my Nikes too. The types are I own are called "Air Mogen" and some "6.0" one. Others are too "short." I cant explain it

Geez, thanks haha. I like how people socialize on there too; not just talk about CA

Again a lack of room. I despise nut hugging jeans. I am a person who enjoys some room in his jeans. Not falling off my ass but definatly not tight either.

514's don't fit? I'm a big dude myself and they fit fine. Try the 511 straight leg.

I remember Fox before it blew up. I got my first dirtbike when i was 8 and we followed the AMA supercross circuit pretty religiously. I had to go to motocross stores to find fox clothing. Then I distinctively remember seeing a kid in about 8th grade wearing a Fox tee. I ask him "hey man! what do you ride?" and he looks at me like I'm insane. Now everyone and their brother wears the stuff. The same thing happened with flannels too.. which i hate because before i could get a nice flannel in pretty much any color for around 8 bucks. Now at target they sell the damn things for around 40.

To quote Oscar Wilde "Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months."

I used to like AE but not recently. Their jeans was mainly what I bought but I find those aren't as good as they used to be. The wear out so fast. I do like their shorts however still.

Can't stand the Fruit of the loom or Haynes t shirts either. I hate a shirt whose collar stretches out. Stafford white tees from pennys are the best. IO like collars on my shirts so I stick to anything that looks nice and is comfortable.

I liked their older jeans too. Now, I only wear 2 AE pairs.

I love Aeropostale shorts. I like the rigid ones because they actually have structure. I'm not familiar with AE shorts.

I hate loose, stretched out collars too

I have to check out Stafford...thanks for the "recommendation"

I use to follow GNC Motocross Nationals when I was a youngin. My setp dad and his brother raced a good bit, one year went to almost every national.

That's the reason I wore fox then next thing I know it got cool. And now its just another brand. Nothing to do with racing.

Just like DC has nothing to do with skating.

I do like the idea of Ken Blocks Rally collection, plus its got Ford emblems everywhere.

Its all marketing, and they are doing a damn good job of it.

I remember when DC was strictly a skating brand. I had some awesome DC shoes back in the day. Now none of their stuff appeals to me that much.
