opinions for new system

Recommended Posts

Im new to sound systems and I 'm looking for a sub that is the cleanest and produces the most bass for under a 1000 dollars. I already have a Hifonics Hf I Monoblock 2000 watts rms amp and would prefer to be able to use that. Open to speakers up to 15 inches.

What car? What music do you listen to ? How much room do you want to loose for the box ? Any electrical upgrades yet for that amp ?

There are so much subs in the market for 2000 watts. SSA Xcon, Fi btl, ...

The car is a 2008 Accord Coupe and this is my daily car so cleaner the better.I mostly listen to rap, hip-hop and some techno.... I was thinking about getting 2 12 inch JL Audio W7 or 2 15 inch Kicker L7.

No law that says you have to run that amp at 1ohm. Please state some more info outside of "most bass", such as goals and so on.

I have 2 12 inch Pioneer Champion Series Pro running at 1000 Rms each. The system is loud but i want something that would be louder and deeper.

What are the model number for your current drivers, and what enclosure are they in?

It's possible that simply building a new enclosure for your current subwoofers will get you closer to your goals. If it's possible to get better performance with a different enclosure with your current subwoofers, that would be the cheapest and easiest route. Unless you just want something new to play with as well......which is fine too.

Wow, your definition of clean is obvously not what many of us are thinking...

The W7 and the L7 are NOT NO WHERE NEAR in the same class together...

It appears to me your definition of clean is just a proper built box, no whistling, no chuffing, no turbulence...

From this aspect, your options have opened wider but...

I would say you want -

Fi BL.

The bold and the link do NOT go together at all...

We also need to know how much space you have as that could easily make the difference.
