Best Amp for Oz Audio Me10.2

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I'm having trouble on deciding what amp would be best for this sub.

The Me10.2 is a 10" DVC 2 ohm driver rated at 700W RMS, and I will probably run it at 4 ohms in a sealed enclosure ~1 cu ft.

Whats a good value amp would you recommend that can run ~600W RMS @ 4 ohm load on stock electrics?

Or should I run this sub at 1 ohm?

Thanks,

Lucas

Around $400. I'm not really sure how much should be spent on an amp.

400$ is a nice number! if you want to go used and save some coin I found this on ebay!

the orion 1200d has never let me down! they are nice little powerful amps plus you can make that guy an offer for even better savings lol

but have you check the for sale section in this forum? i am sure something will catch your eye!

also to answer your question I say go with 1ohm and get a mono amp!

Thanks, definitely getting a mono amp. Are there any disadvantages of running 1 ohm, a lot of amps seem unstable at 1 ohm?

Okay so I'm thinking of getting one of the following:

ROCKFORD FOSGATE Power T1000-1bdCP - delivers 700w @ 4Ω ~$500

KICKER 10 ZX1500.1 - delivers 750w @ 4Ω ~$600

Throughs? Would my stock electrics be able to handle these?

Or any other sugestions?

Thanks,

Lucas
