Deka 9a31 Stud help

I was attempting to hook up my dekas finally, they have a 3/8ths stud. I went to home depot, bought some 3/8"s nuts, but they dont fit exactly. It sounds like the threads are wrong, but what do I use?

buy some more 3/8" nuts with a different pitch.

3/8-16 nuts......thats what i used on mine.....
