The kompression fittings are nice imo. Kinda gotta get used to them and how to trim the wire to fit right.

Also for the op. I just use a handsaw with a fine blade to cut all my big wires.

Thanks for the info, I've heard so much conflicting info out there, it seems like a lot of 'user-error' in regards to installation. IMO, they do seem like a solid fit.

Did you run any of their Konfused fuse holders or distribution blocks? I am trying to find anyone who has ran their compression fittings....and to see their reviews. I do also like their wire.

I bought their regular ANL fuse holder and a 300amp fuse. Will have this installed by wednesday afternoon when I get my BMW back from service.

I have used their 8 gauge kit before and have no complains.

Thanks again, it seems like your build is really along quite well :)

They are pretty solid if you take the time to do them right. Most of the problems are people just shoving the wire in and stripping it out trying to shove it in.

Yes, that is the impression that I got. That being said, with any sort of mechanical experience, you should be able to tell if the thread are not adjusted right initially.

and the handsaw is also a nice tip..

Or that the nut for the kompression fitting was taller than the block itself, so the nut would scrap the bottom plate when you tried to tighten it which made it a complete PITA to try to tighten or loosen the fitting ;)

I hated the kompression block I had and the kompression fitting (wire always felt loose). Knu products are cheap in price, and after using several of their blocks I know why........

Great CS, I'll give them that. But I won't be ordering anymore of their products.
