choosing setup

Recommended Posts

Right now I have two 12w3v3 running on a MRP-M1000. I've been thinking about selling this set up and going with

FI BTL N215 running on a Hifonics HFi2500D in a 4.4 CuFT box

Any suggestions?

cant really suggest anything with no information. Do you have any goals for this system? budget? what knd of vehicle? what kind of music do you listen to?

Loud an cheap-ish. I dont really want to spend to much money. I have an old 95 camery station wagon HAHA (but cant beat $500 for a car that runs as well as that.) Listen to a lot of everything. mainly rock and rap. a lot of Tech9.

Goal is mainly to be louder than what I currently have.

sounds like you got it figured out. cant see you being unhappy with a BTL N2, i havent heard an N2 personally but i have the 2nd gen BTL and i think you will be happy. only other thing is if i were you I would consider the idea of a 2nd battery. make sure that voltage stay's up there. As far as the amp I cant speak on that, never used a hifonics, but people here use them. make sure you get the box right also. use bracing. an enclosure can make or break a system.

Yeah, I'll have to look up the best way to make a box. I personally made mine, and I know its not the best, but it's also enclosed. I just used the dimentions I found on JL's site. For the amp, a few of my friends have them and they really aren't bad and they hold up real well. at first I was actually thinking about getting a Stetsom 2K5 but figured for the money i'd be spending on it I could have the sub and an amp. and maybe in the future I'll get something more quality.

I suggest you get ahold of "bromo" on here. give him all the information about your car and your dimensions to work with and see if he will make you a design, that way you have something to go on.
