keep in mind that what ever amp you choose to power 2 15 BTL's it will most likely be over 1,500 watts rms, which means you should upgrade the electrical system.

0 guage wire, H.O. alternator, extra battery( look at XS Power) keep your voltage up and your amp will thank you

@matthubb123, thanks the the setup advice. I have thought about a few of those things.

I'm probly going to get one 15 hooked up with a possible 12 along side it, then maybe move up to 2 15's.

Never mix sub woofers sizes, it causes lots of issues.

The fact that you would even consider this shows you need to learn a little more before dropping that kind of money on woofers.

I do have a lot to learn and the only reason i thought about doing this is because i don't plan on buying 2 15's at once. 1 might be loud enough for me.

Since your planning on running two but want to buy one now to have some bass in the mean time, I would do:

Buy a 15" BTL or whatever with D1 coil, and wire it to 2ohms.

Build your box for two drivers, but only make a cutout for the one.

your driver's power handling will drop since it's in a box too big, so between running your amp at 2ohms (assuming it makes 2-3k watts at 1ohm) and gaining down your driver will be fine.

Then when you can afford it buy your second driver with a D1 coil, wire drivers down to 1ohm, cut panel for second driver and mount.

Now you didn't buy / build two boxes.

Now if your good at building boxes or don't mind then I guess you could just build one for the time being
