Pre-order? Link to " blueprint drivers"? 6-8 weeks should be enough time to properly plan my system. I've been reading about IB HT for a week now...sounds like what I want! Your speakers seem to top the list as the one's to obtain if your're going to do it.

We do not do pre-orders, never have..never will.

I see no point in taking somebody's money and making them wait for months on end to help pay for product that doesn't exist, that just screams "I do not have enough money to order 100 pieces from China so I will discount it to raise capital to pay for it before it even exists, and if it comes in with everything messed up I am screwed."

..granted we actually build our own stuff here so it is definitely different.

Still absolutely refuse to do it though.

I blew coke outta my nose just reading this. lol.

Aren't you supposed to inhale that? :ughdunno:

I just thought it was funny since I know the reference of the comment. :) And coke isn't that bad of a drug, car audio is. ;)

Shame 99% of people see past it.

This pisses me off big time. The IB3 line was what made it possible for me to put some serious bass in a car that would not have room for a conventional ported sub box.

Here is a pic and a few videos of the Caddy I'm working on. It's getting a trunk full of hydraulics and batteries and the IB3s saved the day for us. This sub should not be pulled from the car audio line up.

4 12" IB3s powered by a Sundown 2000d @1 ohm.

Umm, why does it matter if they are home audio or car audio? By default it is pretty funny to have car audio IB woofers anyways....

It's not like they aren't going to sell you one because you want to put it into a car instead of a house.

Product placement wise, it makes more sense to be in the home audio marketed brand.

I'm not into home audio stuff but every home stereo I've ever owned used 8 ohm speakers so thats one thing that stands out as a problem for car audio application. If they end up being the exact same sub with a different name that doesn't bother me, I just need to know it will still perform the same as the ones I have now. I'm just sick of everything I like going away or changing for the worse. IB car audio may seem odd to you but you have a trunk with room to spare. The cars I build have very little to no trunk space so it's the best option for me.

Thanks. That was the first car I used them in and was blown away by the performance. It's a proper IB set up and the subs have seen 15 hz notes without any problems.

It was just sounding like they weren't going to be exactly the same product.

They won't be the same product, but don't automatically assume that will make them worse :)

I am blown away as well. I've been beating the snot out of the 18's for a cpl years now, if the 18's can handle the abuse, the smaller subs have to be even better... less cone to control with the "small" motor. 15Hz is no joke!

..They are not going to be 8 ohm speakers man.

They are going where they need to be targeted, and upgraded at the same time. We are not going to "scale things back"..

Bottom line they don't belong in a car audio targeted market with 16 year old kids that can afford a 3000 watt amp now.

They will still be the same build quality and performance (a bit better actually) and still a single 2 and single 4ohm coil...with other options available as well with having a 6 layer single 4 and single 2ohm coil on the same former to short one and adjust parameters accordingly.

Well it's good to hear they will still work for IB car audio application. I'm sure there is a very small market for IB car audio but when done properly the results are amazing. Lots of trunk space, less watts needed, less electrical upgrades, weight savings, lower cost...makes me wonder why the market isn't bigger. Keep up the good work I love your products.
