My first box

REDEEMER!!!

aite i started yesterday, almost finished today.

day 1:

first time using one of these things.... its scary man, cut a piece of brick up real good.

my wood

frame somewhat put together

Day 2:

LOL my ghetto circle almost art deco

trust me that box aint perfect lol it sux, but you dont see the hole with the sub on there rite?

oh and psycho... i did use a jigsaw. i cut somewhat of a circle, and then just tailored the opening to fit the sub. too lazy to actually measure perfectly

make a pair of these first, use your first box (pictured above as the mentioned scaps. Then while you at the depot getting a new sheet of mdf, get a table saw or if you are poor like me a nice long metal whatever that will not bend and two clamps. The metal edge and clamps will be your saw guide for clean edges. Also get a square so that you can make nice clean 90 degree turns.

For the circle, get a nail, a pencil and a piece of string (or even better a $3 compass). Once you draw the circle drill a hole on the inside of the circle, close to an edge, put the jig saw blade in the hole and cut slow but steady. It does not have to be perfect but hey lets try and get it in the ball park this time

lol thanks for the input. i like the idea for the piece of metal and clamps will do that next time

as for the circle.... again too lazy to get a compass

my box had a little etch in the hole and the sub didnt fit...an almost perfect circle with one lil etch in the cutting and it didnt fit...
