how did I miss this topic?

anyway, Steve I have used mostly Hella in the past, but I put very nice PIAA's on the sled and I am very happy with them, they are a little on the $$$ side, but found them online for a little less

i love the fog lights in my truck. when i got the truck they came with stock bulbs (the amber ones) so i went and got a cheap pair og General Electric Xenon bulbs...it made huge difference. When we do get for hereits never very thick, but even when driving on a real dark night they add the extra bit of light when your low beams are on (passing cars, since they are stock it is wired into the harness to turn them off when the high beams are on...since you dont drive in the fog with your high beams on anyway).

DONT get them at walmart. w/e you do. We got a cheapo pair for my moms truck at walmart...they worked (if you call it that) for a week and then continued to blow the fuse after more than 2min of operation. their light pattern was horible no mater how you aimed them and the color was realyl weird, mostly becasue they had cheap yellow bulbs being filtered by what looked like a polarized lense.

We then picked up a cheap $20 pair from the Harbo Freight store in Orlando...had similar results as the above.

A friend of mine picked up a pair from one of the local performance shops for like $60. Blue lenses and white bulbs not only looked good but i like his light pattern more than my trucks stock light pattern (i cant aim mine because they are fixed in the bumper.

Ive also known people to get cheap fog lights and have condensation build up inside the lense during the summer or if they drove through a deep puddle.

Rocks shouldnt smas ha good pair as the lenses should be made of a good, strong plastic.
