I have teamed up with Mike once again; this time to clear out QC failed SA-8s at a discount. We have worked with Mike before on E8s that failed QC so I am sharing this offer with my forums.

They are all new drivers that didn't pass on our bench test; which is performed on all speakers and amps that ship from Sundown. Mike is re-building them with our latest updated soft parts.

Note : These do not carry warranty from Sundown Audio. We are not re-building this in house; the work is done by Mike so they must be ordered from him and not us.

I will be selling Sundown’s inventory of SA-8s that have failed quality control testing. Each of these woofers were tested by Jacob and found to have a defect in the coil alignment. I will be refurbishing these woofers with OEM SA-8 parts and reselling them to the public. Most of these have never been mounted or powered other than to check for coil alignment. Buyers will receive 100% fully functional refurbished Sundown Audio SA-8 woofers. As I said, most of these have never been used before so the motors, are in excellent condition and may only show slight signs of wear from testing. The baskets and soft parts are all guaranteed to be brand new.

Available in D2 and D4 coils.

Nope. The 8s are the only SA unit that has more than 1% or so not pass QC testing -- 8s are pretty tricky to build.

I am glad that I found this thread. For some strange reason I wanted to play with a pair of 8s in my Mustang and I wanted to run something other than the Digital Designs subs I ran in the past. As a result, I put in an order with Mike for a pair of re-cones. It looks like .6 cubic feet net tuned to 35 Hz may be the way to go in my vehicle. Good thing I only have a little amp to push them... A Stetsom 1k5 H.
