What should I expect from a btl n2 12

Recommended Posts

Hi, in the future, I am going to order a btl n2 12 and build the box up to reccomendations, and I just want to know what am I to expect from this subwoofer spl, sq and just over all loudness wise.

This will be my first system, I just want to know should I be set with just 1 btl 12?

The n2 isn't designed to be a SQ sub.

Its basically a loud daily/spl sub, that can take plenty of power.

Also, a BTL as your first setup would be great. Most start with a 300-500rms sub. I hope you have done your research.

Let's start by how much power your going to be running to it? Which amp?

You're starting big with a BTL for you first setup !!! Maybe too big.

Don't forget you'll need an amplifier for your upgraded front speakers. Because with so much bass they will be hard to be heared.

You may need big electrical upgrades too.

Take a look at the BL before you get anything.

I don't have my front speakers on a amp? And I've been upwards of 148dbs, and could hear the music fine.

They need to reply but anything else can be said.

Really ?!

I'm glad for you, but that won't be the case for everybody. IMO

I'm not an expert, It's just from my (limited) personal experience.

I do 148 on music in lower 30Hz and even I can't hear the music sometimes.

Was that 148 a burp?

You need to stop measuring in the port and citing that as your score.

149.3 burp.

148 music. Peak.

My port score isn't much higher. Lol.

How it will sound will be determined by the enclosure, vehicle, and setup. In the right installation I think they sound pretty good, and loud. This driver leans towards SPL, but is usable for daily listening, so I would not expect it to sound like a Q while handling twice the power. Hope you enjoy it.
