oscilloscope?

60Hz tone...

On output of amp on AC voltage, roll volume up to 'normal' listening level on head unit, match gain accordingly. So long as sine wave is coming out then sine wave goes into speaker.

Shouldnt you scope the the RCA'S from the HU first, then scope the speaker leads from the amp at the highest level the HU sends without clipping?

Yep..to see if it gets dirty before there, speaker leads are easier to scope though.

If signal is clean going in on the RCA's..you then have to match the voltage...and then you need to check the output to make sure that it is still clean and you aren't clipping it with the amp gain.

Yall are taking gain setting WAY too seriously. It's not that hard folks.

I'd rather set my gains correctly and never have to worry about clipping/blowing anything.... Plus my ear isn't as experienced as some of you guys to accurately set it
