RCAs and remote wire is cheap to begin with. Why not spend an extra five bucks and have decent wire. Stating your stuff is "cheap off brand wire and rca" doesn't give us any idea what it actually is :ughdunno:

Now you don't need the fancy gold tipped ends for "better connectivity", but you may not want the cheapest wire for your signal either...

Is this a serious thread? I don't see a question there...

Buying expensive RCA's and remote wire will have NO effect on system performance.

Actually it does many people have done the test, when you have crap rcas wire you often run into problems with outside noise being picked up an thats commonly from POS rcas, because the shielding in them SUCK NUTS! I had a terrible interference in my truck using walmart rcas, swapped them out with knukoncept krystal cables problem solved, checked the pos walmart rcas for cuts nicks anything, nothing tried them in another car same problem. Whats the point of spending money on quality products then skip out on rcas? We all know rcas carry the signal from the HU to the AMP call me crazy, but thats one of the most important things to NOT OVERLOOK!

Noise issues are directly related to a bad ground.

My previous RCA's were something like $4.99 from partsexpress, and my current RCA's are Radio Shack specials. You do not need to spend a lot of money on RCA's.

Switching RCA's and experiencing a difference isn't conclusive proof that RCA X is better than RCA Y without being able to identify exactly what caused the issue. Variation in the routing of the wire run through the vehicle alone could cause difference.

On top of that, some would make an argument that shielding isn't necessary in RCA's. That's one of the long standing disputes (UTP vs. shielded RCA's).
