1 12" Box Design

Recommended Posts

I've been trying super hard to get my box calculations right. Can someone confirm these #'s?? I really hope I'm on the money. :lol2:

:thanx: in advance.

Box is 32" tall, 15" deep, and 18" wide. Port is 16.5" tall (internal), 2.25" wide, and 40" long. Looking to be 31-32hz, 2.25cu.ft. after sub and port displacement.

:fingers crossed:

With the demensions you gave I come up with 2.4cu' net vol. tuned at 30.4-- of coarse you did not say what sub or the displacement so after you subtract that the net and tuning will change a little. Hope that helps.

wow i can't believe i forgot to throw in the displacement. lol

THANKS!

I used a displacement of .15cu.ft. for the sub (guesstimation)

How is that? I'm glad to here I'm close!

With the .15 disp. I come up with 2.25 @ 31.4--Looks like you are about were you wanted to be. Of coarse I am no box designer, but I can plug in #'s like a mad-man. :woot:

What all did you use to came up with that? Box won't have bracing or a double baffle either.

Definitely not saying you're wrong, just curious.

Just simple math. I have a calculator that I made that does it for me.

:lol2: i love the discreet post edit. no problem though man, i really appreciate the help. plus when it comes to what i'm doing, it won't be for competing etc. so anything close enough is no problem.

:thanx:

Sorry, did not take into consideration for the common port walls, went back and checked and that made the difference. Again, sorry for the fail.
