3 10's or a single 12"

Recommended Posts

i was thinking for my 2006 install 3 10"s of something instead of a single 12" RL-p D2. Both will be in 2-2.5 cubes ported to 31 hz (so i need 3 10's that will be nice in a small ported box. I know for sure it will get louder with the 3 10's of good quality, but is it really worth the xtra money? and space and power aint a problem, my trunk is 42" long.

list of drivers i may be using (I would prefer a black cone to match my 2006 install) no IA or ID, i want something new:

RE SE 10"

SI mag (Do they make 10")

RL-I 10

OZ ME

Arc Arc's

eD 11OV2's

anything you pple would reccomend.

SPL Id go for the RE's or a triplet of Cerwin Vega V-max subs

SQL or SQ Id get the RL-i or the Arc

I havent played with any OZ audio and I am not a fan of EDuh.

Oh and 1 mag 12" in 2.5 tuned to 28-32 would really surprise you ;)

X2 give it 600 watts min, you'd be surprised.

I would run the RL-p first, but if not try the SE's, they have always seemed to do well in a wide variety of enclosures

I vote ME and ARC. Both are made by an impressive company and will perform very well and be budget friendly. The MEs look sweet too and the ARCs are all about subtlety.

Did I spell that correctly?

subltey.... sure lol

have you experienced both the ME's and ARCs? the ME's take 700w vs the ARC's 250w. sounds like there will be a large diff in output.

well...

ive decided 3 10" ME's 3 cubes sealed. hooked up to an AX3000DE @ 1.34ohms w/ 800w each :) should somewhat be loud.
