SA-8 port size

i am building a sub box for a m3. it will be in the spare tire well. the box size that i am shooting for is about 0.5cu ft after sub and port. the cubes i am using i got for sundown audio. i am just looking for a nice sq sound. i am not sure where to tune it but my best guess would be 35hz. i am looking to go ported and need the port size and how long the port should be. i'm only running about 300watts.

Will it even be worth it to you? You probably will get a little.. little thump from that 8 in the trunk, in the spare tire well on about 300 watts.

it will be fine for me but i can always get another amp but i don't want to build my box twice.

i found this port calc. and it says that for a 3" tube i need it to be 29" long for a tune of 35hz is this right?
